Bubby had first swim

We visited friends yesterday for a greek lamb braai - they're not greek, but like the food (as do I) and they have a pool so aside from myself thoroughly enjoying being weightless, the bubby had his first swim!! I'll post pictures of him in his Barney swimming costume as soon as I can get them off my hubby's camera.

Very Merry Christmas everbody!

Hey everyone, I can hardly believe that Christmas is already here! We just had dinner with the ILs and it was nice to get together where no-one is allowed to argue about anything! Tommorrow the hubby, bubby and I are off to my mom's and she is making my favourite non-traditional meal of roast lamb with oven potatoes and mint sauce. Since it's Summer here, the salads include sweetmelon and water melon which is my all time favourite and is super refreshing. Dessert is usually chocolate ice cream can't wait. Since I had the bubby, I have lost 27kg, which is around 50 pounds, but judging by tonights dinner and what's in store for tommorows lunch, I may just gain it all back again. Anyway, here's to a fabulous Xmas to ya' all!

UN EFFING BELIEVEABLE

So I get a letter in the post yesterday..."Telkom regrets to inform you that we are currently unavailable to provide the ADSL service in your area until approximately the 19th of March, owing to lack of ports in your area. Every effort will be made to install your adsl before this date." So, I'm off to the mall to buy a modem...sigh...I'm going to have to survive on dialup until then. We've just recently had laws past to allow a second national telephone operator to start up, here, but it will be atleast a year whilst they put up infrastructure. So until then we are stuck for choice and i'm going to have to wait until friggin March. GAAAH!!!
