Teatopia - you are a legend!!!! On Friday folks I get this package postmarked Atlanta, Georgia - and inside is every kind of Reeces Peanut Butter Cup that there is!! I mean Fudge, Chocolate lovers, Peanut Butter lovers, even a white chocolate version!!!
Of course I'd like to tell you all about how I shoved every last one into my mouth and then lay in a sugar induced stupor for several hours, but alas. My sugar results from the other day came back to say that I have gestational diabetes. Which I'm managing well, and my sugar is totally under control now (I'm eating so healthy it's scary), but it means that the Reeces peanut cups are being put away in a cool cupboard for me, for after the baby is born (when the gestation diabetes goes away). I was so darn happy when I got them - but knew that my will power is close to zero right now, so I handed them to my hubby, and said "please put these where I can't find them in a moment of weakness!" - He faithfully hid them where hopefully I won't run across them...no worries, he's not a peanut butter fan, so no danger of him scoffing them all before the baby is born. The due date is only 10 weeks away now, so it's not long that I have to wait before I can savour their sweet, sweet taste!!!!!

This is a better picture of the whole bang shoot that I bought this past weekend. The only difference is my colours are light blue and beige. I figured that baby puke is less likely to show up on lighter colours. That and it seems as though every mom you see around here has a navy and blue pushchair, and being an Aquarian, I just had to be seen as anything other than totally unique!
I finally got a pushchair, car seat combination travel system this weekend. I have been SO horrified at the prices of these combination ones, that I put off buying it for so long! This last weekend that past - we were out the northern suburbs to have lunch with some friends - and the wife and I went off to their local "Baby & Company", and I found the MOST awesome deal - and I only ended up paying half of what I was expecting to! I am so chuffed that we found such a good deal. Aside from the good price, the travel system was a) on special b) I got 10 % off for using my health insurance credit card too! It's so great that instead of looking at it and feeling ill at the thought of having to pay off so much, instead I get to look at it, pretend my little bundle is in there, and feel really happy at the great deal. Plus when I'm alone at home I practice driving it around the house (LOL).

Still restricted
Hey there
Man, I'm so peeved about these new security settings, I never realised just how much personal stuff I managed to get done at work using my 'personal' email at gmail. Don't get me wrong, I was doing all my work as well (but of course), it's just that I managed to get a hell of a lot of personal stuff done too, especially with regards to my creative memories stuff as well. Now, I'm having to drive home via the hubby's office to check my mail, damnit!
Anyway, I survived my glucose tolerance test on Saturday - but let me tell you having to sit in the pathologists office for 3.5 hours while they take a blood sample every hour, after forcefeeding you the sweetest 500ml drink to be consumed within 5 minutes flat....is no walk in the park. Thankfully it's done now and I can just sit back and wait for the results. Fingers crossed.

How rude
I just discovered that our (ARS) Airline Reservation system provider -through whom we have our permanent internet connection etc etc, has changed the security settings, and this small step which now affects EVERY SINGLE TRAVEL AGENCY for whom it provides linkage...basically this means that now I can't access my gmail account. I am REALLY PISSED OFF ABOUT THIS. I actually feel as if my rights have been violated - and they didn't even say that they were changing anything either. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everybody!
Hi Everyone,
I had the day off work yesterday for pregnancy related issues - for some reason, my ligaments are SOOOO sore that I could hardly walk yesterday, so I spent the day in bed with a book. I didn't feel too bad though, since it was raining outside and positively snug under the covers. I'm feeling much better today, but still really stiff. My doc assures me it's normal, and that only rest will take care of it, so depending on the weather, I may just develope a spontaneous attack on Friday. (ya right like I could ever leave my desk unless it was really painful...ok well maybe).
I did get up and did three scrapbook pages - have I mentioned how much I love creative memories really easy and simple method of scrapbooking - finally my albums are coming along nicely, and I am nearly finished a whole one. I may have as many as 4 classes coming up - some people are really getting into it so I'm really glad. Once I have enough people interested then I will start to run workshops as well. I'd also like to organise a quarterly "crop for a cause" and get everyone together, hire a hall somewhere with some trestle tables set up, and donate a portion of the proceeds to "DARG" (domestic animal rescue society) or "TEARS"(the Emma Animal Rescue Society). Which are both local and active in my community and could seriously use the funds.
Oh well, so much to think about....and finally the nursery is starting to take shape...finally....

Woo-HOO!!!
Last Thursday night, the SIL's husband, who works in the magazine industry, got us tickets to the press release screening of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith....
It was AWESOME!!!!!!!
I'm so not going to give the game away by telling you all just HOW good it was, and by the time this gets' posted, it may well have already been released onto US & Canadian Screens, in which case my gloating is completely misplaced!
Anyway, it was amazing how well they were able to tie up the end of this one, and the beginning of episode IV. I even cried at the end...
But enough of Starwars...on another exciting note - I have my first, non-friends and family Creative Memories class scheduled, and I am really so excited. Excited and a bit nervous of facing a room full of strangers! But excited nonetheless, I am determined to make a success of this so that it becomes a viable full-time occupation for me. Fingers crossed folks.

Had to share it with you
Ok, even though my blog looks like sheit at the moment given that there is some screwy html going on that I don't know how to fix...anyway.
Yesterday, I went to a Creative Memories consultant training session at the Mount Nelson. I was very early, so I popped into an Engen quickshop (convenience store) across the road, to get some munchies to chow in the car before the training. There I was merrily perusing the very upmarket merchandise in that area. I.e. calcium enriched water...vegetable crisps. Definitely the kind of thing that 'ladies who lunch' would snack on, if they could every admit to actually eating anything other than salad.
It was then, that the orange packaging caught my eye...it can't be...I moved closer...could it be??
How on earth? After all my years of searching, of yearning, of remembering.
Of practically bribing American and Canadian friends to mail them to me...they were really here!!!!
I nearly cried as I rushed over and clutched the orange packaging firmly to my breast.
They were mine, all mine, and I was about to enjoy a taste sensation last experienced about 6 years ago...the Reeces Peanut Butter cups were mine!
So, about that sugar level problem I was having...

Testing
Ugh, I'm hoping that a new post will fix this garbled html nightmare that has eaten away at my blog...

Scan Again
I had another scan today - everything is still fine with the baby - but apparently my sugar levels have risen...hmm could have something to do with all the chocolate I've been scoffing, or maybe all the coca cola that I've been drinking in the past week, but I wasn't going to tell the OBGYN that...Anyway, now I have to go for a blood test next week which apparently takes 3 hours - because they have to monitor my sugar levels twice during that time. Eck. Remind me not to have sugar on anything for the next week!

Eh, what?
Hey can anyone tell me what the hell my profile is doing down the bottom right hand side of my page? Does anyone else see it like this? Too bizarre.
THanks for all the great chocolate ideas everyone, hot chocolate is sounding like an increasingly good idea, especially since the weather is cooling down, hurray!!
For some reason, my body has slumped into a really annoying routine, making me SOOOO tired during the day - this is only supposed to happen right at the end of pregnancy!!
But I am going to sleep exhaused around 9h30pm. Then I wake up around 2am, lie awake listening to Roxy the labrador snoring and whimpering in her dreams, Navarre the Alaskan Malamute's heavy breathing, and my very unconscious husbands breathing as well - have to make sure he hasn't like had a heart attack in the middle of the night.
Prod the husband awake to make sure he's alive, get 'grumped' at for having woken him up. (geez that's the last time I save YOUR life buddy). Then stay awake some more wondering if it's too early to get up.
Get up go to the bathroom, check the clock on my way back. 4am.
Finally at 5h30am fall asleep make wild passionate love with some gorgeous celebrity in my dreams - Russell Crowe 's been a real regular in this department. Then when the alarm goes off I feel like I've just run a marathon and I snooze in bed until I positively have to rush through my morning activities just to get to work on time. It seems insane. Hell if I wasn't pregnant, I'd go and throw back a glass of wine at 2am just to make sure that I fall asleep again!
